FROM THE GROUND TO CHRISTMAS TREE SALES

We follow the tree from the time it is planted until it is shipped, and we guarantee quality throughout. The Christmas trees are processed according to gentle principles, and we use the best machines to ensure minimal use of chemicals. The machines have screens that ensure that only weeds under the trees are picked up.

We usually start felling the trees in the first week of November. Agreements with haulage companies are made here in advance, so that the trees can be shipped immediately after netting and palletising, so that the process is as short as possible. This means a short route from felling to a saleable Christmas tree that is still fresh and beautiful.

FRESH CHRISTMAS TREES

Customers in Germany and Austria place orders as early as August, typically for between 800 and 3000 trees. After that, a lot of labelling work begins before the trees are ready for harvest in November and December.

This job involves 12-16 people, while 4-5 permanent employees handle the daily work for the rest of the year.

Although a Nordmann fir is felled weeks before Christmas Eve, it still looks lovely for Christmas – especially if you do not place the tree somewhere that is too hot and remember to give it water at its foot.

NEW STOCK OF CHRISTMAS TREES

When the year’s trees are harvested, netted, packed and shipped, there is room for new trees. They are planted in consolidated areas and age-matched.

Our ambition is to expand the business and plant new trees, so that between 80,000-100,000 Christmas trees can be exported annually.

THE SIZES OF OUR CHRISTMAS TREES

We sell all standard sizes and the trees are delivered in a fine mesh net on standard pallets, measuring 260 x 120 x 240 cm.

80 – 100 cm, packed with approx. 250 Nordmann fir trees per pallet.

100 – 125 cm, packed with approx. 200 Nordmann fir trees per pallet.

125 – 175 cm, packed with approx. 125 Nordmann fir trees per pallet.

175 – 200 cm, packed with approx. 80 Nordmann fir trees per pallet.

200 – 250 cm, packed with approx. 60 Nordmann fir trees per pallet.
